Policy on Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Protection of Karaton Operating Ltd.

Karaton Operating Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) conducts its activities (implements its policy) in the field of health, labor, and environmental protection (hereinafter referred to as HSE) in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the obligations of the policies of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" and PJSC "Tatneft" in the field of industrial safety, labor protection, and environmental protection.

By implementing this Policy, the Company sets the following strategic goals:
- Preservation of the lives and health of employees and surrounding people;
- Reduction of the negative impact on the environment;
- Minimization of the impact of activities on the climate, as well as on the biodiversity of vulnerable areas.

Key Management Principles:
- Compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international and national standards, internal documents in the field of HSE, including activities carried out in the "Karaton subsalt" subsoil area;
- Compliance with requirements and continuous improvement of management system performance in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 standards;
- Continuous development and improvement of the HSE management system based on the best achievements of advanced international experience;
- Setting HSE goals aimed at a steady reduction in occupational injuries, occupational diseases, accidents, and negative environmental impacts;
- Establishing a high level of corporate culture among employees and actively involving them in the implementation of HSE activities;
- Personal responsibility of each Company employee for compliance with HSE requirements;
- Leadership and commitment of managers at all levels in implementing HSE requirements;
- Identification and management of HSE risks at all stages of production activities;
- Conducting continuous targeted work to prevent injuries and health deterioration, ensuring safe and harmless working conditions to prevent work-related injuries and health deterioration, striving to eliminate hazards and reduce risks;
- Engaging the Company's personnel in active participation in maintaining and improving the management system, managing business risks, and health protection risks;
- Involving employees and their representatives in consultations and participation in the management system through interaction with employee representatives, as well as with all interested parties;
- Commitment to environmental protection, including pollution prevention, ensuring compliance with requirements related to efficiency, use, and consumption of energy, as established in the Company's obligations under legislation, partners, and other stakeholders;
- Providing employees with the guaranteed legal right to refuse to perform work in situations that reasonably pose a threat to their life and health or that of others;
- Continuous training and professional development of employees on HSE issues;
- Managing environmental aspects considering the life cycle and continuously seeking opportunities to reduce the negative impact of the Company's activities on the environment;
- Implementing safe and resource-saving technologies aimed at reducing emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases and improving energy efficiency;
- Requiring contractors to be responsible for complying with the Company's HSE principles;
- Ensuring transparency and informing shareholders, partners, employees, government authorities, the public, and other stakeholders about HSE-related aspects of activities, providing reliable, meaningful, and timely information.

This Policy applies to all employees of the Company, as well as employees of contractors providing services and performing work at the Company's facilities under the terms specified in the concluded contracts.

This document is open and available to all interested parties.

The Company's management assumes responsibility for providing the necessary resources and conditions for the HSE management system.
