General terms
The Karaton subsalt project is classified as a complex project under subparagraph 2) of paragraph 1-2 of Article 36 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Subsoil and Subsoil Use” dated December 27, 2017 No. 125-VI. Taking into account the technological complexity of the project, an improved model contract was approved at the legislative level, which implies the development of its own Procedure for the organization of procurement of goods, works and services of the subsoil user in accordance with paragraph 66 of the Contract No. 5238-UVS-SP dated June 21, 2023 for exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the subsoil area “Karaton subsalt” located in the Atyrau and Mangistau regions.
