Private Company “Karaton Operating Ltd.” was founded in 2023 as a result of a promising partnership between two industrial leaders: NC KazMunayGas JSC (Republic of Kazakhstan) and PJSC Tatneft named after V.D. Shashin (Russian Federation).

Our mission is to conduct geological exploration, including drilling deep saline wells in the South Emba oil and gas bearing zone of the Caspian Depression, for further effective development of hydrocarbon reserves in the interests of the state and business economy.
